No, GrantWorks Detroit believes in and adheres to the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Code of Ethics, which prohibits this practice.
What is your proposal success rate?
Above average. Development professionals and grant writers should be held accountable for the quality of their work and for reaching fundraising goals, but evaluating grant writing effectiveness solely on a percentage number can mistakenly lead to a lottery style approach to grant seeking. Many factors contribute to the success of a proposal: selection of the funding prospects, agency reputation and standing, external dynamics such as the economy and competition, project design and program soundness, relationship building with partners and funders, and the overall quality of application packages. GrantWorks Detroit works closely with an organization to maximize the potential of every grant opportunity.
Can you help me find grants to go to school or to start a business?

How do you work for multiple entities without a conflict of interest?

Is there a story behind the company name?
None of the original ideas for the company name remained after the brain-storming stage; they were all either too vague or too flashy. In the end, GrantWorks Detroit emerged from a modified suggestion made by a friend in an online survey about naming the company. Here are the results from the main question of the poll, which surveyed preferences among these names:
